EMILY MAULDIN

EMILY MAULDIN DESIGN is grounded in the belief that life is short. You might as well enjoy where you're living. Playing it safe is optional, being bold and having fun is encouraged.

Eschewing traditional interior design practices, I work with my clients like creative collaborators, pushing them to go further and do what they want to do, not what the world is telling them. I give you the roadmap, the sourcing, the moodboard, the vision, and you take it from there. Beyond client work, I'm also creating content about design and art through a feminist lens. I couldn't love it more.

Good design requires understanding how people actually live, and I've lived broadly: sales at TikTok, production company executive assistant, private chef, and even an adventure trip leader. Every one of those jobs was, in some way, a design problem. It just took me a while to find the right medium.

I hold a bachelor's in Economics from Tulane and a master's in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University. And for what it's worth: I have a cat, Beatrice, and a dog, Rosebud. A house really isn’t a home without pets in it. I split my time between Austin and Seattle, but work with clients worldwide. Together, we can make your home feel alive.
